This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Build and maintain relationships within the Private Equity ecosystem to foster strategic, long-term sales growth.
• Identify and connect with Portfolio Operations leads, Operating Partners, and Value Creation directors in targeted funds.
• Utilize an established professional network to access highly restricted Private Equity environments.
• Employ financial and operational terminology relevant to Private Equity to establish trust with operational leadership.
• Navigate intricate Private Equity procurement processes to secure Master Service Agreements with portfolio companies.
• Ensure that RRD is included on the short-list for initiatives aimed at operational efficiency or cost reduction.
• Broaden RRD’s presence across multiple targeted portfolio companies through successful early engagement.
• Cross-sell and expand RRD’s services across additional portfolio assets.
• Introduce specialized operational assessments during pre-acquisition due diligence and throughout holding phases.
• Utilize early assessments to foster goodwill and secure full execution contracts post-acquisition closure.
• Collaborate across functions within RRD to deploy specialized delivery teams.
• Drive the signing of MSAs, assessment engagements, and revenue linked to Private Equity relationships.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field is required.
• A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• A background as an ex-management consultant from MBB / Big 4 or a tier-1 operations consulting firm, specifically in Private Equity or Post-Merger Integration practices; or experience as a former COO, VP of Sales, or VP of Operations who effectively scaled and exited a PE-backed portfolio company; or as a boutique PE-origination specialist with a solid track record of selling professional services directly to PE funds is essential.
• Must be located in a primary or secondary Private Equity hub: New York City, Greenwich, CT, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Austin, Miami, or Atlanta.
• A thorough understanding of EBITDA, IRR, Multiple Expansion, and the 100-Day Plan is required.
• Capability to master RRD’s service offerings and align solutions with Private Equity financial and operational goals.
• Highly proficient in low-volume, high-trust Account-Based Selling for lengthy, complex institutional sales cycles.
• Ability to work across functions to deploy specialized delivery teams.
• Proficiency in leveraging an existing professional network to access Private Equity environments.
