Private Equity Associate – Consumer & Leisure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Develop a functional financial model for a designated consumer/leisure transaction using a synthetic deal document package.

• Produce an editable Excel file that includes live formulas, source citations, and clearly stated assumptions.

• Conduct a peer review of two anonymized models prepared by other contractors based on established criteria.

• Write a brief rationale for each peer review and complete the accompanying review scorecard.

• Engage in approximately 20–25 hours of work over a timeframe of 1.5 to 2 weeks.

• Contribute to projects aimed at training and refining AI systems by leveraging human expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of overall experience.

• About 2 years of investment banking experience in Consumer/Retail or generalist M&A.

• 1 to 2 years of experience in mid-market or large-cap private equity.

• Currently or recently held the position of Associate at a mid-market or large-cap PE fund.

• Preferred focus on consumer/leisure/multi-site services, including fitness clubs, owned vs. franchise, and multi-site roll-ups.

• Experience with the Paris office or French deals is preferred.

• Capability to build a financial model from source documents without relying on a template.

• Proficiency in English.

• Independent contractor status is required.

• Must reside in one of the following countries: Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, or the Netherlands.
