This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Interact directly with insurance providers to facilitate the approval of medications through prior authorizations.
β’ Assist patients in obtaining financial aid via foundations, manufacturer initiatives, and additional funding sources.
β’ Navigate pharmacy operating systems to input data, adjudicate claims, process refills, and develop follow-up action plans.
β’ Record patient concerns, updates on prior authorizations, and financial assistance requirements across databases, electronic medical records, and email systems.
β’ Work alongside physicians' offices to ensure timely and appropriate medication therapy.
β’ Keep comprehensive and accurate records of patient communications and case activities.
β’ Aid patients with pharmacy insurance claims and coverage-related challenges.
β’ Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy liaisons to provide coordinated patient care.
β’ Offer phone support and assist in enhancing medication adherence and compliance.
β’ Conduct research, investigation, and analysis to support decision-making and problem resolution.
β’ Organize and maintain data within database applications.
β’ Identify trends, suggest process enhancements, and contribute to initiatives aimed at operational excellence.
β’ Act as a reliable business partner to organizational stakeholders.
β’ Safeguard confidential information and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
β’ Stay updated on industry knowledge through ongoing education, professional publications, and networking.
β’ Travel occasionally based on business needs.
β’ Carry out other assigned duties.
β’ At least 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
β’ Excellent customer service and communication skills with patients.
β’ Preferred experience in handling insurance claims, medication access, prior authorizations, or pharmacy operations.
β’ High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
β’ State Registered and/or State Certified Pharmacy Technician, where applicable.
β’ If the candidate's state does not provide pharmacy technician registration, national certification is required at the time of employment.
β’ Must acquire any additional necessary licensure within an agreed-upon timeframe, if applicable.
β’ Must uphold required licensure and certification standards for continued employment.
β’ Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
β’ Ability to navigate the internet and web-based platforms.
β’ Data entry and computer competencies will be assessed through a pre-employment evaluation.
