Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Manage incoming and outgoing calls pertaining to prior authorization requests and inquiries from providers

• Efficiently process and document prior authorization requests within designated time limits

• Deliver courteous and informed assistance to healthcare providers through phone, email, fax, and web communications

• Ensure that all communications and data management adhere to HIPAA and internal confidentiality guidelines

• Collaborate with various teams to address issues and enhance service delivery

• Assist in pharmacy benefit management services by overseeing provider inquiries and prior authorizations

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in retail, hospital, managed care, insurance, or PBM settings

• Active pharmacy technician license

• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and internet navigation

• Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-focused call center environment

• Ability to adhere to HIPAA and internal confidentiality standards
