This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
• Direct TSMO and ITS planning, strategy, technology evaluation, and program execution activities for both state and federal transportation clients.
• Evaluate emerging transportation technologies and operational concepts, including connected and automated vehicles, integrated corridor management, data platforms, traffic management systems, and digital modernization efforts.
• Oversee task orders and workstreams, encompassing scope development, task planning, staffing coordination, schedule management, budgeting, quality assurance, and subcontractor management.
• Create client-ready technical memoranda, strategic plans, implementation roadmaps, business cases, performance frameworks, and executive-level presentations.
• Organize client meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
• Build client relationships and identify subsequent opportunities.
• Assist in proposals, capture initiatives, and account expansion efforts.
• Contribute to project delivery across various assignments while collaborating with senior leaders, colleagues, junior staff, and technical experts.
• Mentor team members and support high-performing teams.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 12+ years of progressive professional experience in supporting TSMO, ITS, transportation operations, technology modernization, or related consulting services for public-sector transportation clients.
• Capacity to work independently, manage uncertainty, and take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Ability to establish credibility with agency executives, managers, operators, technologists, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong and persuasive communication skills tailored for diverse audiences.
• Ability to mentor team members and collaborate with a range of technical expertise.
• Familiarity with TSMO and ITS programs, including transportation operations planning, systems engineering, strategic planning, data management, technology assessments, and program evaluation.
• Skill in assessing operational needs and defining practical solutions that consider client value, implementation feasibility, cost, risk, benefits, and performance outcomes.
• Experience in supporting digital modernization of transportation operations systems, software platforms, data environments, or traffic management capabilities.
• Experience in facilitating meetings, workshops, interviews, or collaborative planning sessions.
• Ability to aid in business development through client engagement, capture strategy, proposal writing, solution development, and thought leadership.
• PMP or PE certification is preferred but not mandatory.
