Principal Technical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Oversee the content strategy for the digital support ecosystem.

• Create clear, precise, and timely online support content in English.

• Provide personalized in-product experiences customized to the customer’s role, journey, and product.

• Establish and advance the documentation strategy across various product lines.

• Ensure alignment of support content with business objectives and design scalable content delivery frameworks.

• Leverage analytics and cross-functional collaboration to prioritize, track, and assess content enhancements.

• Facilitate transitions between online and live support through effective metadata management and content channeling.

• Produce shared resources such as style guides, process documentation, and UI messaging.

• Enhance content discoverability through metadata strategies, keyword optimization, and search platform configurations.

• Utilize AI tools to identify content gaps, refine drafts, and improve quality at scale.

• Manage translations and support initiatives for global expansion.

• Create engaging customer experiences through the LastPass support chatbot program.

• Collaborate with teams including engineering, product, UX, support care, tooling leads, content strategists, and writers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in DITA XML authoring, including proficiency in the DITA authoring language and related tools.

• Capability to define and implement documentation strategies across multiple product lines.

• Strong knowledge of search technologies, encompassing indexing, ranking signals, metadata structures, and taxonomy design.

• Skill in fine-tuning search configurations to enhance content discoverability.

• Proficiency in using AI tools for content-related tasks.

• Experience with content delivery tools, systems, and components across both backend and frontend environments, including identity services, developer content, third-party integrations, and APIs.

• Established editorial collaboration across cross-functional teams.

• Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment, manage competing priorities, and operate independently in a fast-paced, distributed team.
