Principal Systems Engineer, Requirements & Defect Manager

📋 Description

• Assist software projects by providing technical clarification, breaking down requirements, and tracking them effectively.

• Convert customer requirements into internal software specifications.

• Monitor the complete lifecycle of software requirements and defects from definition through to verification.

• Customize standard requirements and defect management processes to align with project specifications.

• Delegate requirements and defects to the appropriate departments in accordance with software architecture.

• Oversee and report on the progress of software requirements and implementation issues.

• Ensure the traceability of requirements and errors throughout the project lifecycle.

• Assist in defining lifecycle processes.

• Keep abreast of technological advancements to provide top-notch customer solutions.

• Conduct preliminary analysis and monitor reported software defects.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7 years of professional experience.

• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, particularly in requirements and defect management (e.g., IREB standard, GfSE standard).

• Proficiency in widely-used requirements and task tracking tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira/Confluence, DOORS).

• Strong communication and presentation abilities for both customer and internal stakeholders.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Understanding of common project management methodologies.

• Experience in managing stakeholders and suppliers.

• Background in configuration management and documentation management.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles.

• Experience with agile project management methodologies.

• Familiarity with automotive quality management standards, such as Automotive SPICE or CMMI.

• Experience with speech recognition or similar technologies is a plus.

• Advanced skills in Excel, including macros and Pivot tables, as well as Python scripting.

• Basic understanding of information security and data privacy regulations.

• Demonstrated knowledge of information security through internal training programs.
