This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the complete procurement process, from sourcing vendors to closing purchase orders post-payment.
• Identify suitable vendors while ensuring compliance with ITAR and Controlled Goods regulations.
• Secure Non-Disclosure or Proprietary Information Agreements prior to sharing drawings or controlled documents as needed.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), validate compliance of quotations, and compare pricing and delivery to select the best sources.
• Create and manage purchase orders in accordance with contractual and quality standards.
• Monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery, addressing any delays, service issues, and financial impacts.
• Maintain electronic records, generate weekly progress reports, and track metrics.
• Contribute to procurement strategies, departmental procedures, and enhancements in the supply chain process.
• Reconcile discrepancies between purchases and invoices.
• Participate in departmental and operational meetings, coordinate vendor-related issues, and support compliance reporting.
• Uphold data integrity within the SCM MRP/ERP system.
• Foster positive and ethical relationships with customers and vendors.
• Adhere to workplace operating procedures, environmental health, and safety guidelines.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant prior experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with 3 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible to obtain required export authorizations.
• Proficiency in SAP.
• Capability to analyze Cost and Pricing data and assess proposal compliance (FAR 15.4).
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Deep understanding of the Supply Chain lifecycle and the roles and responsibilities at various project phases.
• Knowledge in the preparation, negotiation, and monitoring of purchasing agreements and their terms and conditions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of purchasing concepts, negotiation tactics, and principles of material management.
• Ability to source hard-to-find materials through multiple supply channels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Capacity to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and efficiently manage a high workload.
• Ability to perform well in a dynamic, fast-paced, and changing environment.
