This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Serve as a reliable advisor to clients within designated target accounts.
• Formulate both short-term and long-term solution strategies for clients.
• Assist all sales segments in marketing intricate advanced technology solutions that encompass hardware, software, and services.
• Build and sustain relationships with Account Managers, Centers of Excellence, vendors, and clients.
• Oversee all aspects of complex solution sales, including deal registration, qualification, vendor relations, solution development, negotiations, presentations, and win/loss analysis.
• Showcase Connection’s capabilities and articulate its value as a comprehensive solutions and services provider.
• Organize and hold customer meetings to identify opportunities and nurture long-term relationships.
• Sustain and expand existing key accounts while cultivating new business accounts.
• Create sales and account management strategies to meet revenue and gross profit objectives.
• Meet weekly or bi-weekly with Sales management to discuss business/account plans and pipeline status.
• Formulate new business strategies for existing accounts.
• Execute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly administrative tasks, including expense management and calendar/pipeline reporting.
• Prepare quarterly and routine business reviews along with tailored customer presentations.
• Collaborate with manufacturer field representatives to penetrate accounts and secure business.
• Guide the team by developing and sharing best practices, mentoring colleagues, and enhancing team skills and morale.
• Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; sponsorship for employment visas is not available.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, or consultative, solution-oriented IT experience at the IT Director level.
• In-depth technical understanding of IT and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) vendors.
• Proficient knowledge of datacenter technology and solutions, including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, and managed, professional, and consulting services.
• Proven experience in proactively identifying business opportunities within an existing customer base.
• Demonstrable IT sales experience in developing and expanding customer accounts and achieving or surpassing sales targets.
• Strong business development and account maturation capabilities.
• Established sales leadership skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Excellent execution, writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
• Capability to ask insightful questions and identify the root causes of issues.
• Ability to comprehend the needs and values of others.
• Strong listening abilities.
• Effective organizational and time management skills, including documenting activities, planning schedules, and tracking performance.
• Capacity to acquire new knowledge with minimal guidance or training.
• Strategic thinking and long-term planning proficiency.
• Ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Relevant partner, industry, and professional certifications for focused, growth, and emerging partners.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including presentations, complex Word formatting, spreadsheets, and macros.
• Preferred candidate should be located in the central states.
• Willingness to travel 25–50%, primarily within the Texas region.
