This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients within designated accounts
• Formulate both short-term and long-term solution strategies for clients
• Assist sales segments in promoting intricate advanced technology solutions that include hardware, software, and services
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with Account Managers, Centers of Excellence (COE), vendors, and customers
• Oversee complex solution sales, which encompass deal registration, qualification, vendor relations, solution development, negotiations, presentations, and win/loss analysis
• Showcase Connection’s capabilities and value as a comprehensive solutions and services provider
• Arrange and facilitate customer meetings to identify opportunities and nurture long-term relationships
• Sustain and expand existing key accounts while also establishing new business accounts
• Create sales and account management strategies aimed at achieving revenue and gross-profit objectives
• Meet weekly or bi-weekly with Sales management to discuss business/account plans and pipeline
• Formulate new business strategies for current accounts
• Execute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly administrative tasks, including expense management and calendar/pipeline reporting
• Prepare business reviews and tailored customer presentations
• Collaborate with manufacturer field representatives to penetrate accounts and secure business
• Develop and disseminate best practices, mentor colleagues, and enhance team skills and morale
• Over 10 years of experience in a similar capacity, or an IT Director-level position with consultative, solution-based IT experience and advisement in a solution sales role
• Strong technical expertise in IT and OEM vendors
• Comprehensive knowledge of datacenter technology and solutions, which includes networking, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, and managed, professional, and consulting services
• Capability to proactively identify business opportunities within the existing customer base
• Proven IT sales experience in developing and expanding customer accounts while meeting or surpassing sales targets
• Solid business development and account maturation abilities
• Established sales leadership qualities
• Ability to function independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Strong execution and presentation capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient at asking probing questions to uncover the root causes of issues
• Good listening, organizational, time management, documentation, planning, and performance-monitoring skills
• Quick learner with minimal guidance or training
• Strategic thinking and long-term planning abilities
• Capacity to mentor and develop team members
• Partner, industry, and professional certifications for focused, growth, and emerging partners
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including presentations, advanced Word formatting, spreadsheets, and macros
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States
• Willingness to travel 25–50%, primarily within the Texas region
