This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Serve as a reliable advisor to clients within designated target accounts.
• Formulate both short- and long-term solution strategies tailored for clients.
• Assist sales teams in marketing intricate advanced technology solution sets that include hardware, software, and services.
• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with Account Managers, Centers of Excellence (COE), vendors, and customers.
• Manage complex solution sales processes, encompassing deal registration, qualification, vendor interactions, solution development, negotiations, presentations, and win/loss evaluations.
• Conduct presentations for customers and prospects that highlight Connection’s offerings and value as a comprehensive solutions and services provider.
• Organize and conduct customer meetings to identify opportunities and build enduring relationships.
• Sustain and expand existing key accounts while also generating new business accounts.
• Create account strategies aimed at achieving revenue and gross profit targets.
• Meet weekly or bi-weekly with Sales management to discuss business/account plans and pipeline updates.
• Formulate new business strategies within current accounts.
• Execute administrative tasks, including managing expenses, calendar/pipeline reports, business reviews, and customer presentations.
• Collaborate with manufacturer field representatives to penetrate accounts and secure business opportunities.
• Develop and disseminate best practices, mentor colleagues, and enhance team skills and morale.
• Candidates must be eligible to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a comparable role or at the IT Director level with consultative, solution-focused IT experience and expertise in 'solution sales.'
• Comprehensive technical knowledge of IT and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) vendors.
• In-depth understanding of Datacenter Technology and solutions, including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, and services (Managed, Professional, and Consulting).
• Proven IT sales experience with an emphasis on developing and expanding customer accounts while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong business development and account maturation capabilities.
• Demonstrated sales leadership abilities.
• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent skills in execution, written and verbal communication, presentations, active listening, questioning, organization, time management, strategic thinking, mentoring, and learning.
• Relevant partner, industry, and professional certifications for targeted growth and emerging partners.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including presentations, sophisticated Word formatting, spreadsheets, and macros.
• Preferred candidate should be located in the central states.
• Willingness to travel 25-50%, primarily within the Texas region.
