Principal Solution Architect – NetApp

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Act as a national technical authority and escalation point for intricate, strategic, and transformative NetApp opportunities throughout CDW.

• Establish architectural direction for enterprise computing, storage solutions, converged and hyperconverged infrastructure, hybrid cloud, HPC, AI-ready infrastructure, edge computing, and modern data center solutions.

• Direct technical strategies for complex pursuits, including discovery, solution framing, architecture validation, competitive positioning, executive presentations, and cross-practice alignment.

• Create solutions that meet infrastructure needs, business limitations, operational considerations, financial goals, and long-term plans.

• Function as a trusted advisor at the executive level and lead briefings, innovation workshops, architecture evaluations, and discussions on business outcomes.

• Evaluate peer designs for quality, accuracy, scalability, supportability, and alignment with requirements.

• Define complementary services and work with services teams on scope and effort assessments.

• Spearhead technical go-to-market strategies and develop repeatable solution plays.

• Create standardized deliverables, reference architectures, design templates, SOW frameworks, demonstration guidance, assessment methods, and reusable intellectual property.

• Foster strategic relationships with Lenovo and ecosystem partners while executing joint strategies.

• Lead national enablement and knowledge-sharing efforts.

• Guide and mentor architects, engineers, specialists, and other technical professionals.

• Articulate CDW’s technology and services value proposition while supporting NetApp expansion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 7 years in technical pre-sales or technical architecture experience, or 11 years of relevant experience.

• In-depth knowledge of enterprise storage, data management, data protection, cyber resiliency, hybrid cloud, and related data center technologies.

• Practical familiarity with NetApp architecture, products, technologies, and solutions, including ONTAP and associated data services.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional sales, services, delivery, partner, and technical teams.

• Capability to lead technical discussions, influence decisions, and offer guidance and mentorship.

• Excellent communication, presentation, discovery, and facilitation skills.

• Ability to build trusted relationships and convey technical concepts and business value to diverse audiences.

• Skill in designing and presenting comprehensive solutions that address customer requirements and business challenges.

• Proficiency in analyzing complex issues, identifying options, building consensus, and resolving technical gaps.

• Capacity to link technical recommendations to business outcomes and support opportunity strategies.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% or as needed.

• Current NetApp technical certifications relevant to the role and CDW partner requirements are a plus.

• Experience in architecting NetApp solutions in enterprise, hybrid cloud, virtualization, container, data protection, cyber resiliency, or AI infrastructure settings is a plus.

• Background in supporting enterprise customers and handling complex, multi-practice, or strategic infrastructure opportunities is a plus.

• Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or related technologies is a plus.

• Experience in delivering technical enablement, mentoring peers, or developing reusable solution assets and go-to-market content is a plus.
