This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of one or more integration domains from start to finish, including managing the roadmap, making architectural decisions, evaluating trade-offs, and ensuring delivery.
• Recognize challenges, define the scope of work, and lead projects to successful completion.
• Make architectural choices related to system boundaries, API contracts, reliability objectives, and build-vs-buy considerations.
• Design and implement microservice-based solutions utilizing REST, GraphQL, streaming APIs, MCP, and LLM-enhanced automation.
• Integrate the platform with cybersecurity tools and external services.
• Provide mentorship to engineers through design reviews, collaborative sessions, and code evaluations.
• Establish the technical direction and advocate for quality, thorough documentation, secure coding practices, and best practices in distributed systems.
• Enhance design and development processes using LLM coding assistants, AI-driven testing, and automated code reviews.
• Streamline builds, deployments, monitoring, and incident response with AI and scripting.
• Promote the adoption of AI, develop internal tools, and assess improvements in efficiency.
• Participate in an on-site interview as a successful finalist.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in backend software development.
• At least 3 years in a Staff-level or tech lead capacity, where you owned a domain or led a team.
• Expertise in Python, Go, or Java.
• Solid foundation in creating and managing microservices in a production environment.
• Extensive experience with API design and integration, including REST, GraphQL, streaming, LLM APIs, and embedding services.
• Knowledge of secure API practices, including OAuth, API keys, and rate limiting.
• Strong experience in distributed systems, messaging queues like Kafka and RabbitMQ, or orchestration frameworks such as Celery and Airflow.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT within production engineering workflows.
• A history of mentoring engineers and enhancing team technical skills.
• Exceptional skills in system design, debugging, and communication.
• Preferred: Experience in cybersecurity areas such as SOAR, EDR, SIEM, or XDR.
• Preferred: Background in large-scale data processing, real-time pipelines, or event-driven architectures.
• Preferred: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Preferred: Experience with MCP, function calling, agent orchestration frameworks, LLMs, or AI services.
