Principal Resource Geologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Development of geological models or interpretations.

• Construction of block models for estimating mineral resources and reserves.

• Involvement in the preparation of NI 43-101 Reports or their international equivalents.

• Conduct due diligence reviews to facilitate project financing, mergers, and acquisitions.

• Manage projects, including leading other geologists and third-party consulting teams.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geological findings with other scientific, planning, and engineering disciplines.

• Ensure successful project execution concerning health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfaction.

• Prepare proposals and assist in the development and implementation of service line, business sector, and client business development strategies.

• Build and maintain relationships with clients to guarantee excellent service delivery.

• Mentor junior geologists and engage in both internal and external training and mentorship initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a comparable geological position within the mining or environmental services sector.

• Extensive knowledge of Seequent’s Leapfrog Geo and Edge modelling software.

• Familiarity with additional mining software packages such as Datamine, Vulcan, Surpac, or Micromine is advantageous.

• Experience in 3D geological modelling, data analysis, and drill planning.

• Understanding of geostatistical fundamentals in mineral resource estimation.

• An undergraduate degree in geosciences.

• Registered as a Licensed Professional, such as P.Geo. or an equivalent qualification.

• A Master's degree is preferred.
