Principal Researcher, Healthcare Transformation

📋 Description

• Lead the development, design, and implementation of intricate, multi-faceted research studies within AIR’s client services portfolio.

• Act as the principal investigator or senior advisor on prominent projects, ensuring methodological integrity, relevance, and impact.

• Influence AIR’s research strategy by pinpointing emerging trends, funding opportunities, and areas ripe for innovation.

• Direct multidisciplinary teams in crafting study designs, analytical frameworks, and dissemination strategies.

• Foster and sustain strategic partnerships with clients, funders, and collaborators across various sectors.

• Provide thought leadership through publications, presentations, and participation in national forums.

• Mentor and nurture senior researchers and project staff, promoting excellence and ongoing learning.

• Lead the development of proposals, encompassing strategy, writing, and client interaction.

• Supervise data collection and analysis efforts, ensuring alignment with research objectives and ethical standards.

• Convert complex findings into actionable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and community stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. in public health, public policy, or a related discipline with a minimum of 7 years of pertinent experience managing and conducting research, or a Master’s degree with at least 11 years of relevant experience.

• Extensive experience overseeing research projects in contract research, evaluation, or academic environments.

• Profound understanding of implementation science and systems-level change.

• Proven history of securing funding and managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder initiatives.

• Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative methodologies and associated software, including STATA, R, NVivo, and Excel.

• Established reputation and professional network in relevant spheres.

• Strategic mindset with the ability to align research with policy and practice needs.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to synthesize and present complex findings to diverse audiences.

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

• Advanced project management skills with the capability to manage multiple priorities.

• Skills in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and relationship-building.

• Commitment to equity, rigor, and innovation in research.

• Currently authorized to work full-time in the U.S.; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available.
