
Principal, Real World Data Sourcing – Partnerships

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Identify and assist in the development of changing data requirements that align with strategic goals.
• Analyze, comprehend, and convey essential data needs to internal Labcorp teams and prospective external partners.
• Keep abreast of industry, regulatory, and customer trends, as well as innovations to shape data strategy.
• Spearhead initiatives to discover and assess potential data sources for suitability, accessibility, usability, and return on investment.
• Find new data sources to bridge product gaps and meet emerging customer demands.
• Collaborate with teams across data integration, product management, technical solutions, commercial sectors, IT, Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Data Governance.
• Assist in the vendor qualification and technical evaluation of data.
• Identify conflicts of interest and strategic opportunities with data partners.
• Ensure data and processes are in compliance with global data governance frameworks and ethical data standards.
• Identify and enhance AI tools to optimize operational models and frameworks.
• Lead meetings and provide updates to both internal and external data partners.
• Drive process improvements and tool development for partner identification, onboarding, and management.
• Maintain thorough documentation of opportunities using Smartsheet, Excel, and other tools.
• Create summary reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Act as the primary point of contact between Labcorp's Real World Data team and data partners.
• Clearly communicate Labcorp's real-world data requirements and oversee partnership evaluation discussions.
• Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and Data Governance stakeholders on partnership agreements and contracts.
• Lead the onboarding of data partners and establish effective communication channels and schedules.
• Review current data partnerships and suggest areas for improvement.
• Contribute to the growth and unique positioning of Labcorp's Real World Data portfolio and the development of innovative data products.
• High school diploma or GED with 7 or more years of experience in data partnerships, alliance management, real-world data, healthcare data, or life sciences; or an Associate degree with 5 or more years of experience in these fields; or a Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, Healthcare, Data Analytics, or Information Systems with 3 or more years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in supporting data partnerships, alliance management, vendor management, or strategic partnerships within the life sciences, healthcare, or real-world data sectors.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing, negotiating, implementing, or managing third-party partnership agreements.
• At least 3 years of experience with data management tools, systems, or technologies.
• Familiarity with Real World Data, Real World Evidence, and the healthcare or life sciences industry.
• Understanding of HIPAA, data privacy laws, and data governance principles.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to cultivate and sustain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Capacity to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
• Strong skills in planning, prioritization, multitasking, and organization.
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain tracking, reporting, and documentation processes.
• Proficient in analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Capability to identify issues, assess options, and propose effective solutions.
• Ability to work independently in a remote work setting.
• Proven teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across various functions.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• A Master's degree in Science, Business, Healthcare, Data Analytics, or Information Systems is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in supporting Real World Data (RWD) or Real World Evidence (RWE) initiatives is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in evaluating healthcare, clinical, claims, laboratory, or other healthcare-related data sources is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Data Governance, Privacy, or Regulatory functions is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in supporting process improvement, workflow optimization, or operational excellence initiatives is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in utilizing AI-enabled productivity tools or technologies is preferred.
