Principal Python Engineer – FastAPI, Azure, AKS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop software services and APIs utilizing Python, preferably with FastAPI

• Create and uphold secure cloud infrastructure, encompassing networking, WAF, and CDN

• Launch scalable services employing Terraform, Kubernetes (AKS), and Docker

• Execute comprehensive data solutions across both real-time and batch architectures

• Collaborate closely with leadership, including the CEO and COO, as well as clients

• Mentor and educate others

• Leverage AI-assisted coding in a transparent manner

• Operate within an agile, empathetic, and self-organizing engineering environment

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python development

• Extensive knowledge of FastAPI and web service architecture

• Significant experience with Azure and cloud infrastructure, including networking, WAF, and CDN

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform

• Solid hands-on experience with AKS/Kubernetes and Docker

• Comprehensive understanding of engineering and architectural principles related to infrastructure and data modeling

• Exceptional communication skills for conveying technical concepts to leadership and partners

• Fluent English is mandatory

• Occasional travel of 0–15% may be required based on project and client demands
