Principal Product Manager, Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Define and promote the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for features and products focused on security.

• Perform market research, analyze competitors, and conduct sessions for gathering customer feedback.

• Collaborate with engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams to create secure products.

• Convert complex security requirements into product specifications and user stories.

• Prioritize the product backlog while managing trade-offs to enhance business value and customer satisfaction.

• Lead product launch initiatives, which include go-to-market strategies, sales enablement, and user documentation.

• Monitor product performance and make iterative improvements to features based on data and user input.

• Serve as the organization's expert in security matters.

• Influence company culture within a rapidly growing startup.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8+ years of experience in product management within B2B SaaS, with a strong emphasis on security products or features.

• Proven expertise in database security principles and industry best practices.

• Strong grasp of networking concepts and their security implications.

• Comprehensive understanding of identity and access management (IAM) topics.

• Relevant security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.

• Demonstrated experience in quality assurance processes and methodologies.

• A solid foundation in program management, encompassing planning, execution, and risk management.

• Prior experience in security engineering is essential.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Previous experience in securing a data platform, database product, or real-time analytics service.

• Familiarity with technologies such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.

• Experience supporting BYOC or private deployment models.

• Background in working with open-source software or developer-oriented products.
