Principal Product Manager – ClickHouse Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation and implementation of ClickHouse Cloud.

• Establish and lead the product roadmap for ClickHouse Cloud.

• Emphasize cloud-native database functionalities such as multi-region replication, distributed query execution, fault tolerance, storage tiering, and schema evolution.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize enhancements to the core database engine, storage layer, and query optimizer.

• Connect directly with customers through interactions, feedback, and market research.

• Partner with design, marketing, operations, and sales teams on feature launches, blog content, product positioning, and messaging.

• Define and monitor KPIs to assess product success.

• Act as the main point of contact for all product-related communications.

• Manage expectations and keep stakeholders updated.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8+ years of experience in product management.

• Strong background in cloud-based SaaS solutions.

• Preferably have a deep understanding of database systems, distributed systems, or real-time analytics platforms.

• Practical experience with SQL.

• Solid grasp of query execution, indexing strategies, partitioning, and performance tuning.

• Familiarity with ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or other columnar databases.

• Understanding of data lakes, ETL pipelines, CDC, and data orchestration frameworks.

• Ability to engage with engineering on detailed technical subjects including schema management, query planning, storage engines, and schema design.

• Experience in designing and implementing database replication, consistency models, and backup/restore workflows.

• Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive execution.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Experience with scaling open source technologies is a plus.

• Previous startup experience is a plus.

• Must respond to application questions about consumption-based or usage-based billing systems and Cloud Marketplaces, along with cloud-native SaaS product management experience, and US work authorization sponsorship.
