This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +5 more locations.
• Develop and manage the product strategy and roadmap for Duck Creek’s billing domain.
• Oversee invoicing, payment processing, commissions, collections, disbursements, reconciliation, and automation functions.
• Serve as the general manager for the product, responsible for strategy, execution, and financial results.
• Convert insurer billing practices, payment preferences, financial controls, and regulatory requirements into prioritized product functionalities.
• Lead product discovery efforts for complex challenges in billing, payment, and financial operations.
• Act as the primary product steward for billing and finance stakeholders.
• Spearhead application-level decision-support and AI-driven capabilities for payment optimization, collections prioritization, anomaly detection, and exception handling.
• Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to incorporate explainable models, scores, and insights into billing processes.
• Transform billing rules, payment plans, commissions logic, and reconciliation criteria into scalable functionalities.
• Facilitate the adoption of straight-through processing with transparency, exception management, and escalation procedures.
• Ensure that billing workflows, financial transactions, and recommendations are auditable, compliant, and governed.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture to develop technically sound and scalable billing solutions.
• Work alongside Product Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Professional Services to articulate value, enablement, and product positioning.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree and/or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area.
• Over 7 years of experience in product management within SaaS or enterprise software settings.
• Proven experience managing complex workflow- or decision-centric product domains.
• Experience in designing, building, or integrating sub-ledger or General Ledger solutions in insurance or financial services sectors.
• Strong understanding of P&C billing operations preferred, including invoicing, payment processing, collections, commissions, disbursements, reconciliation, and regulatory and compliance aspects.
• Hands-on experience with billing systems preferred.
• Experience delivering configurable, transaction-centric platforms, including rules-driven and AI-enabled or model-informed workflows.
• Solid product management fundamentals and experience with agile, iterative delivery.
• Capability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data, architecture, finance, and business leaders.
• Legally authorized to work in the country of job location; the company does not sponsor visa petitions.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
