Principal Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead cross-functional initiatives that drive business and commercial success for the Telematics division.

• Collaborate directly with the head of Telematics as well as go-to-market and field leadership.

• Identify, define, and develop new product opportunities related to core telematics and vehicle gateway offerings.

• Formulate hypotheses and create business cases to support new initiatives.

• Work alongside small engineering teams to prototype validated concepts and engage with real customers.

• Function as a proactive individual contributor tackling complex and ambiguous challenges.

• Advocate for, exemplify, and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles as the company expands globally and opens new offices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in product management within B2B settings, particularly in enterprise B2B.

• Direct, hands-on experience collaborating with field, go-to-market, and sales teams.

• Proven ability to achieve product-market fit for a B2B SaaS solution.

• Demonstrated success in scaling a product from 0 to 1 or from 1 to 10 in a B2B context.

• Strong business acumen and commercial judgment.

• Capability to assess market opportunities and construct business cases from foundational principles.

• Proficient in utilizing AI tools for rapid prototyping and development.

• Ideal candidates may have prior experience as founders or in other high-ownership, self-directed roles.

• Experience in businesses with tangible physical components is preferred.

• Deep telematics domain knowledge is not required; it will be developed on the job.
