Principal Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the most intricate and unclear design challenges across the UX Platform, guiding them from conceptualization to detailed execution, entirely autonomously.

• Create AI-native interfaces for unpredictable experiences and set forth principles and heuristics to ensure coherent outputs.

• Advance AI-first, specification-driven design workflows and assess the quality of software being delivered.

• Establish standards for documentation and traceability through precise specifications, references, and rationale.

• Act as a senior design authority and subject matter expert for the product.

• Represent the Design Director in Product and Engineering evaluations.

• Influence strategic direction and uphold the quality standards across the product.

• Enhance the link between product design and the Design System.

• Develop systems and processes that provide value to teams throughout the organization.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align objectives and ensure a productive work rhythm.

• Guide and mentor designers, elevating the overall craftsmanship of the team.


⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in product design, including senior or lead roles on complex software products.

• A portfolio showcasing extensive craft and systems thinking in product design and design systems.

• Acknowledged expertise in design and a proven history of enhancing the overall quality standards.

• Experience in defining patterns, systems, or processes adopted by others.

• Proven track record of independently managing ambiguous challenges and delivering tangible results from start to finish without supervision.

• Comfort in designing AI-native, unpredictable experiences.

• Passion for advancing AI-first design workflows.

• A discerning perspective on AI experimentation and the ability to recognize where it provides genuine value.

• Capability to serve as a subject matter expert, shape priorities, lead research when necessary, and translate analysis into design decisions.

• Established ability to influence Product and Engineering partners without formal authority.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• A consistent practice of documenting decisions, rationale, and references clearly.

• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
