Principal Product Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee and ensure key projects are managed from inception to delivery.

• Develop product strategies and create compelling business cases.

• Implement Agile transformations and programs within a user-focused product framework.

• Supervise, mentor, and nurture a select group of senior personnel.

• Emphasize the management of employee performance.

• Direct consulting projects from start to finish.

• Achieve targeted results from large assemblies of varied stakeholders and interest groups.

• Convert business needs into efficient functional specifications.

• Lead cross-functional teams.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and the broader community.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in Product Management, User Experience, Agile methodologies, and Program Assurance.

• Significant experience across at least two major industry sectors.

• Familiarity with a minimum of two business application environments, such as CRM or eCommerce platforms.

• Proven experience in communication and relationship-building with C-Level stakeholders.

• Background in coaching and mentoring clients.

• Comprehensive understanding of business and technology, along with a keen awareness of industry trends.

• Track record of delivering results as part of an Agile team.

• Experience in line management or coaching roles.

• Exceptional facilitation skills.

• Ability to plan and guide consulting projects from initiation to completion.

• Strong commercial insight and an understanding of business and project dynamics.

• Proven adaptability to embrace and lead in new areas.

• Outstanding communication, persuasion, and decision-justification abilities.

• Skill in translating business needs into cost-effective functional specifications.

• Profound understanding of Agile and Waterfall Project Management delivery methodologies.

• Capacity to work flexibly and meet tight deadlines in dynamic and uncertain environments.

• Strong team management capabilities, including the supervision of multidisciplinary teams.

• Ability to mentor and coach both team members and the wider community.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Desirable: experience in a digital start-up environment.

• Desirable: background in product management and delivery of high-quality digital products.

• Desirable: experience with full-service digital agencies.

• Desirable: experience leading Digital Transformation projects.

• Desirable: project management experience across various methodologies, including waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, PRINCE2, or MSP.

• Desirable: Certified Scrum Product Owner credential.

• Desirable: engagement in communities of interest.
