This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and enhance cloud infrastructure within a multi-account organization, encompassing account boundaries, governance policies, cross-account access, and cost/security governance.
• Extend and manage the Infrastructure-as-Code repository by implementing reviewed, tested, and version-controlled changes.
• Oversee and refine CI/CD pipelines to ensure quicker, safer, and more automated application deployments.
• Develop and manage the containerization strategy and container orchestration, including image standards, dependency security, and daily operations.
• Maintain and enhance uniform, reproducible developer environments.
• Spearhead technical initiatives to advance HIPAA and SOC 2 Type II compliance, as well as readiness for StateRAMP/FedRAMP.
• Direct infrastructure security initiatives, including secrets management, network security, vulnerability management, and incident response preparedness.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to shape platform strategy and formalize infrastructure practices.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to cost, security, reliability, and audit-readiness.
• Establish engineering standards, mentor team members, and streamline processes.
• Manage production issues and implement sustainable solutions for reliability and performance.
• Over 7 years of experience managing production cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on expertise with multi-account cloud organization structures, governance policies, and cross-account access management.
• Extensive hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools.
• Proven experience in designing, operating, and enhancing production CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong practical experience with containers and orchestration platforms such as ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
• Direct experience in managing infrastructure in compliance with HIPAA and/or SOC 2 Type II standards.
• Capability to handle complex, high-stakes infrastructure and security challenges independently with minimal oversight.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including clear documentation for engineers and auditors.
• Skill in developing tools or infrastructure patterns that enhance overall engineering productivity.
• U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification preferred.
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification preferred.
• AWS Certified Generative AI Developer – Professional certification preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other highly regulated industries preferred.
• Familiarity with StateRAMP or FedRAMP is preferred.
• Knowledge of full-stack web and mobile development frameworks.
• Experience with IoT or hardware-connected systems.
