Principal Network Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, architecture, and enhancement of Autodesk’s worldwide network security framework and security posture.

• Establish the strategic direction for network security and facilitate improvements across cloud and hybrid infrastructures.

• Implement foundational controls and collaborate with Enterprise IT stakeholders to achieve Trust outcomes.

• Design, architect, and strategize deployment plans for security technologies within complex distributed network infrastructures.

• Create, implement, and oversee scalable controls for ZTNA, SASE, intrusion detection, auditing, web application firewalls, bot protection, content redirection, and manipulation.

• Manage security policies, standards, and evaluations of network segmentation and cloud-based network services.

• Formulate and enforce security protocols and procedures to avert and mitigate threats in cloud environments.

• Address security breaches, conduct investigations, and recommend long-term solutions at the network level.

• Provide technical leadership and direction on cloud network security.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and Trust stakeholders on design, strategy, and business alignment.

• Develop automations to enhance operational efficiency.

• Assist with compliance and regular security audits, generate evidence reports, and suggest improvements.

• Stay updated with security trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in network security, with a strong focus on cloud environments.

• Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their respective security features.

• Understanding of routing, load balancing, and edge or perimeter networking capabilities in cloud environments.

• Demonstrated experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SASE, NAC, WAF, and DDoS protection.

• In-depth knowledge of DNS, NTP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN, and other essential protocols.

• Experience with NetFlow, sFlow, and packet analysis tools.

• Familiarity with AI/ML-powered network security, including anomaly detection, threat prediction, automated remediation, and intelligent analytics.

• Experience in network configuration management and automation, including IaC, Ansible, Terraform, GitOps, and NetOps/AIOps platforms.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

• Knowledge of SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, FedRAMP, and other security and privacy compliance standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

• Ability to influence internal and external Trust stakeholders with design proposals and strategic recommendations.

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
