This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Lead technical consulting initiatives for both new and ongoing opportunities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to account teams and clients regarding routing, automation, and cross-segment technologies.
• Establish and nurture relationships with account management, Product Line Management, and Engineering teams.
• Comprehend customer needs and offer guidance on solution design.
• Present technical deep-dives and demonstrations effectively.
• Participate in proof-of-concept evaluations and support RFP submissions.
• Provide insights to customers and sales teams on product offerings, automation strategies, industry developments, and competitive insights.
• Present at internal and external conferences, technology events, innovation sessions, and industry gatherings.
• Align proposed technical solutions with customer business requirements, particularly for executive decision-makers.
• Over 12 years of relevant networking experience.
• Demonstrated success in customer-facing pre-sales roles selling networking equipment, or equivalent end-user experience in design, architecture, or vendor selection.
• A bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field is mandatory.
• Exceptional hands-on expertise in managing complex proof-of-concept tests.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the capability to function effectively within virtual, multinational teams with minimal supervision.
• Credible technical engagement with Enterprise and Service Provider engineering teams.
• Willingness to travel to customers, partners, and account teams, generally 20–30% of working time.
• Expert-level hands-on knowledge of BGP, ISIS, OSPF, Multicast, L2/L3 VPNs, BNG, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS, RSVP, SR-TE, and SRv6.
• In-depth understanding of access, metro, and core backbone routing design, including Multicast-VPN, L3VPN, L2VPN, and EVPN.
• Solid knowledge of mobile wireless architecture, virtualization, and data center networking.
• Familiarity with Netconf/REST APIs, YANG, OpenConfig, gRPC, and modern WAN architectures.
• Experience with Paragon, MIST, Apstra, or similar competitive products is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, containers, and Linux.
• Proficiency in automation and programming languages such as Python and Ansible.
• General awareness of emerging protocols and standards-body technologies.
• Basic understanding of high-performance security solutions.
• Familiarity with merchant silicon technologies like Trident, Tomahawk, and Jericho.
• Knowledge of MX/PTX, SRX, QFX/Nexus/Arista, or similar platforms is essential.
• Professional-level industry certification is preferred.
