Principal NetSuite Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the complete cycle of NetSuite ERP implementations, encompassing discovery, process mapping, configuration, testing, training, cutover, go-live, and post-launch stabilization.

• Take ownership of the functional architecture and the successful delivery of multiple concurrent client engagements.

• Facilitate discussions with executives and stakeholders regarding business requirements, project status, risks, priorities, scope, and solution recommendations.

• Assess business processes and design scalable NetSuite solutions utilizing native functionality and configuration whenever feasible.

• Provide functional leadership in areas such as financials, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, manufacturing, distribution, multi-entity operations, and reporting.

• Act as a subject matter expert in one or more NetSuite modules, business processes, or industries.

• Convert complex requirements into functional designs and specifications for technical consultants, developers, and integration partners.

• Lead client workshops, solution demonstrations, user acceptance testing, end-user training, and knowledge transfer sessions.

• Oversee data migration planning, validation, reconciliation, and cutover readiness.

• Supervise project scope, engagement profitability, deliverables, risks, and client expectations in collaboration with project leadership.

• Review configurations and deliverables from other consultants to ensure quality, scalability, and alignment with requirements.

• Mentor Senior Consultants, Consultants, and other team members through project guidance, feedback, and knowledge sharing.

• Address complex managed-services and post-go-live issues that necessitate advanced functional analysis.

• Participate in sales engineering, scoping, demonstrations, and other business development activities as required.

• Achieve established billable-hour and utilization targets while upholding high standards for client service and delivery quality.

• Report to the NetSuite Practice Manager and provide project leadership and mentorship to delivery team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of eight years of experience in ERP consulting, business-process analysis, solution design, or closely related fields.

• Direct, hands-on functional consulting and configuration experience with NetSuite.

• Approximately 7–10 or more full-cycle NetSuite implementations, with significant responsibilities as the functional lead.

• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple client projects or functional workstreams simultaneously.

• In-depth knowledge of core NetSuite financial and operational processes, including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, and inventory management.

• Proficient in configuring workflows, saved searches, reports, dashboards, forms, roles, permissions, custom fields, and other native NetSuite functionalities.

• Experience in gathering requirements, mapping processes, preparing functional designs, leading testing, delivering training, and supporting go-live activities.

• Strong communication skills with clients, including the ability to advise executives and respectfully challenge requests that may lead to unnecessary cost, complexity, or risk.

• Proven capability in managing project scope, identifying risks, and contributing to successful, profitable engagements.

• Experience in coaching, mentoring, or reviewing the work of other consultants.

• Comfortable working within billable-hour and utilization expectations.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%, primarily within Eastern and Central U.S. time zones, including flights and overnight stays.

• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

• Preferred: advanced expertise in NetSuite manufacturing, wholesale distribution, inventory, supply chain, or multi-entity financial management.

• Preferred: experience with Work Orders and Assemblies, WIP and Routing, OneWorld, Advanced Revenue Management, SuiteFlow, or related functionalities.

• Preferred: experience with a NetSuite solution provider, ERP consulting firm, or professional services organization.

• Preferred: NetSuite certifications.

• Preferred: experience contributing to project scoping, statements of work, solution demonstrations, or sales engineering.

• Familiarity with collaborating with SuiteScript developers and integration specialists.

• Candidates located in Eastern or Central time zones are preferred.
