This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Create and spearhead the deployment of a cohesive enterprise integration layer that spans various business domains and verticals.
• Establish and uphold standards, principles, and best practices for application architecture within integration and API engineering.
• Develop scalable, secure, and highly available ecosystems for APIs and integration solutions.
• Oversee architecture evaluations and offer hands-on technical guidance to engineering teams.
• Set standards for API design, security, observability, documentation, and lifecycle management.
• Direct integration strategies among internal applications, ERP systems, SaaS platforms, enterprise systems, and external partners.
• Conduct domain discovery and event storming workshops with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Design and execute event-driven and message-based architectures utilizing Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, and similar technologies.
• Propel the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to enhance developer productivity, accelerate delivery speed, and improve solution quality.
• Advocate for engineering excellence through Test-Driven Development (TDD), Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and automated quality practices.
• Lead efforts in modernization initiatives and reduction of technical debt.
• Collaborate with platform teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and enhancing developer experience.
• Mentor architects, technical leads, and engineering teams while promoting innovation and ongoing learning.
• Act as a trusted advisor for key technology investments and modernization strategies.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in Software Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in Architecture, Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, or Technical Leadership roles with current hands-on coding experience.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing integration platforms and distributed systems at the enterprise scale.
• Profound expertise in modern .NET patterns, asynchronous pipelines, and large-scale codebases.
• Extensive knowledge in API Architecture and Enterprise Integrations, including API governance at scale.
• Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), Test-Driven Development (TDD), Microservices, Distributed Systems, and Cloud-Native Architecture.
• Practical experience with enterprise messaging/event platforms such as Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, RabbitMQ, Solace, Apache Kafka, or AWS SQS.
• Solid grasp of REST APIs, OpenAPI Specifications, OAuth2, OIDC, API Security, and Identity Management.
• Experience with observability practices, including monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, and telemetry.
• Daily, hands-on engagement with AI tools like Copilot, RAG-based tools, and agentic coding assistants.
• Familiarity with CQRS, Event Sourcing, Saga Patterns, and Distributed Transaction Management.
• Understanding of OpenTelemetry and enterprise observability platforms.
• Strong communication skills and fluency sufficient for direct collaboration with a US-based team and stakeholders.
• Proven record of ownership and accountability.
• Advanced English proficiency for effective collaboration with a US-based team.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and .NET/C# is highly desirable but not mandatory; equivalent expertise in another technology stack is acceptable.
