Analytics Platforms Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define the technical framework for Tala's semantic layer and shared analytics platform.

• Establish uniform, governed definitions for business metrics across various markets and teams.

• Determine the methods for storing, modeling, accessing, and consuming data and metrics across BI tools, notebooks, applications, and AI agents.

• Balance scalability, reliability, usability, governance, and regulatory compliance in architectural choices.

• Set technical priorities and sequencing for major platform initiatives, ensuring timely completion.

• Design and develop production data models, pipelines, services, tools, SDKs, and platform components.

• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering and Data Infrastructure as a senior technical contributor.

• Own platform capabilities from conception through to production.

• Identify and resolve technical debt and architectural constraints.

• Define the role of AI in analytics workflows and create governance layers for AI agents.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, and Accounting.

• Work with Finance and Accounting to align business metrics with company records and reporting.

• Provide technical mentorship through design reviews, collaboration, and hands-on engagement.

• Establish engineering and data architecture standards while enhancing documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, data platforms, or a related technical discipline.

• Proven experience in designing and building large-scale or shared data platforms and infrastructures.

• Strong proficiency in data architecture, data modeling, pipelines, and production systems.

• A history of making complex architectural decisions and successfully translating them into functional systems.

• Capability and willingness to write production code and collaborate alongside engineers.

• Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams without direct authority.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive ambiguous or stalled initiatives to completion.

• Experience in establishing trusted, governed, or standardized business metrics is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with AI/LLM-driven analytics, data workflows, or agents is a significant plus.

• Background in working with financial, regulated, or highly sensitive data is beneficial.

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
