Principal Director, Planning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead a dedicated team of CFP® professionals through both technical and interpersonal coaching.

• Foster trust and assist planners in providing clear, actionable advice.

• Act as the internal authority and leader within a specific planning domain.

• Create scalable frameworks, teaching tools, and best practices for the firm.

• Represent the Planning department in cross-functional discussions with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Compliance teams.

• Ensure that tools and client communications align with planning realities.

• Manage a small portfolio of 25–35 client relationships, dedicating approximately 15% of your time to this task.

• Evaluate new practice initiatives, conduct live demonstration sessions, and maintain a deep understanding of the member experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• CFP® designation is mandatory.

• Over 10 years of comprehensive financial planning experience.

• More than 5 years of direct leadership experience guiding high-performing planning teams.

• Ability to simplify complex planning concepts into practical frameworks that can be scaled across the organization.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated history of constructively and diplomatically resolving complex organizational challenges.
