Principal Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Direct the design of solutions, make technical decisions, and lead development teams.

• Create, develop, secure, test, deploy, and support cutting-edge software solutions, APIs, portals, automation services, and cloud-native applications.

• Deliver principal technical ownership and provide technical leadership.

• Manage delivery, contractor oversight, work package ownership, and stakeholder communication.

• Construct enterprise applications utilizing Python, Django, Flask, React.js, and SQL.

• Create secure REST APIs and integration services.

• Utilize advanced Python development techniques and adhere to best practices.

• Design, manage, and optimize PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases.

• Set coding standards and mentor fellow developers.

• Create and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines.

• Implement automated processes for building, testing, and deployment.

• Manage containerized applications through Docker and Azure Container Registry.

• Supervise release management, environment governance, and deployment controls.

• Expertise in Python development at an expert level.

• Strong skills in architecture and solution design.

• Experience in leveraging AI to enhance the development process.

• Extensive knowledge of Django, Flask, React.js, and SQL.

• Solid understanding of API-first architectures.

• Proven success in performance optimization.

• Experience with Docker containerization.

• Advanced knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native applications.

• Experience leading Agile Scrum delivery teams.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.

• Significant commercial experience in developing enterprise applications using Python.

• Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or computer vision technologies.

• Proven experience in designing and deploying production-grade web applications and APIs.

• Experience in implementing DevSecOps practices within CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in deploying containerized applications to cloud environments.

• Demonstrable experience in unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, security testing, and automated deployment pipelines.

• Proven experience in conducting code reviews and upholding coding standards.

• Successful completion of the Criminal Records Disclosure and Credit Referencing Process.
