Principal, Data Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients to define business and data strategies.

• Utilize quantitative frameworks to tackle business challenges through analysis, data mining, predictive modeling, business forecasting, and applied statistics.

• Develop and implement impactful marketing analytics solutions.

• Communicate strategies, complex contexts, and rationale to Product Managers, Engineers, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and other internal and external stakeholders.

• Transform emerging market and industry concepts into actionable workflow enhancements.

• Assess ongoing and proposed initiatives to optimize long-term client value.

• Oversee data ecosystems, encompassing ETL, data governance, reporting, and insights.

• Direct projects from RFP/SOW/BRD to delivery.

• Guide junior team members on processes, analyses, deliverables, client communication, and management skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in applied analytics within marketing, product, engineering, sales, or finance.

• More than 5 years of experience in assessing a client’s data portfolio, data tools, and data applications.

• At least 3 years of data management and consulting experience.

• Strong proficiency in SQL; familiarity with NoSQL is advantageous.

• Experience with Python, R, Matlab, or SPSS for applied statistics, data analysis, and machine learning.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for deploying analytics solutions.

• Competence in using LLMs and AI coding tools.

• Capability to manage a data ecosystem, including ETL, data governance, reporting, and insights.

• Ability to lead projects from RFP/SOW/BRD to delivery, involving project management, requirements gathering, data architecture, workflow management, quality assurance, reporting, visualization, and presentation.

• Passion for mentoring junior colleagues in processes, analysis, deliverables, client communication, and management skills.

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S.
