This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with product managers and interdisciplinary teams to solve business challenges and seize opportunities through data analysis.
• Extract actionable insights from extensive and intricate datasets.
• Establish product metrics through north-star metrics, KPI/OKR frameworks, metric trees, instrumentation, guardrails, and measurement post-launch.
• Utilize AI coding and analytical tools to enhance SQL/Python development and streamline repetitive analytical tasks.
• Develop lightweight data applications or assistants and create reusable, validated workflows.
• Generate data visualizations using Power BI, Looker, or equivalent tools.
• Construct and enhance canonical datasets, semantic models, metric definitions, dashboards, and self-service capabilities.
• Extract data-driven insights that support PSET platform results, performance, user engagement, and business outcomes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure data quality, lineage, observability, and scalable pipeline solutions.
• Implement version control, testing, code reviews, and reproducible development practices.
• Convey complex findings as succinct decisions and trade-offs.
• Guide analysts and cross-functional teams on problem framing, experimentation, AI-assisted analytics, and data storytelling.
• Over 8 years of experience in large-scale data analysis, business intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related area.
• Proven experience at the principal/staff level.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development and analytical tools like Claude Code and Cursor.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Expertise in Python or R for data analysis and modeling purposes.
• Familiarity with data warehouse ELT tools such as Airflow, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Experience with semantic layers, governed metric definitions, and BI/visualization tools like Looker or Power BI.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of statistical techniques and modeling methodologies.
• Ability to articulate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Capacity to collaborate across functions and support strategic initiatives.
