This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the principal Finance expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance implementations.
• Oversee the Finance workstream from the phases of discovery and design through to configuration oversight, testing assistance, cutover, go-live, and post-implementation stabilization.
• Provide functional leadership in areas including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management, financial reporting, consolidations, intercompany transactions, and multi-legal-entity design.
• Offer guidance to client executives, controllers, finance leaders, and users on finance process and system design choices.
• Facilitate finance discovery workshops, engage in business process advisory discussions, conduct gap analyses, and lead solution design initiatives.
• Design and validate Finance solutions that encompass multiple legal entities, intercompany transactions, consolidations, shared financial structures, financial dimensions, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure quality control for Finance deliverables, including design documents, configuration decisions, process flows, recommendations, and finance-related project outcomes.
• Collaborate with teams across SCM, manufacturing, warehousing, technical aspects, integration, data migration, reporting, and project management.
• Mentor and guide Finance consultants.
• Support internal methodologies and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to the maturity of solution leadership within the Microsoft delivery team.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, controllership, internal finance leadership, or consulting.
• Over 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance is preferred.
• Strong functional expertise in Finance, including General Ledger, AP, AR, Project Accounting, multi-legal-entity structures, intercompany transactions, consolidations, controls, and financial reporting.
• Significant experience in Project Accounting is required.
• Proficiency with standard D365 financial reporting is essential.
• Experience with Financial Reporter is highly preferred.
• A consultative approach with the ability to challenge assumptions, guide process improvements, clarify trade-offs, and propose practical solutions.
• Capability to define finance data requirements and offer advice on opening balances, master data, historical data access, reporting continuity, and data conversion strategies.
• Comfort in working across SCM, manufacturing, warehousing, integrations, reporting, and the Power Platform.
• Familiarity with Success by Design, FastTrack, Lifecycle Services, and Azure DevOps is preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately 3 to 5 weeks per year.
• CPA, MBA, or similar qualifications are advantageous.
• Experience with budgeting, Landed Cost, hands-on D365 security configuration, Power BI, data migration strategies, and pre-sales activities is preferred or beneficial.
