This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist project managers with the initial setup of projects, tracking processes, and onboarding workflows.
• Help monitor project-specific profit margins and assess the financial health of projects.
• Reconcile the tracking sheets of project managers with accounting records.
• Act as the primary contact for project managers for basic inquiries related to finances, tracking, and systems.
• Support the preparation of CFS JV contract status reports.
• Analyze discrepancies between actual and budgeted financial results, identify trends, and create performance reports.
• Maintain and enhance corporate cash flow models and projections.
• Review employee expense reports for thoroughness, accuracy, and adherence to compliance standards.
• Serve as the main resource for internal staff inquiries regarding expense policies and tracking systems.
• Collaborate with the outsourced accounting firm to facilitate accounts payable and transactional accounting tasks.
• Assist project managers in the submission, review, and modification of client invoices.
• Track client invoice payments, identify overdue amounts, and lead follow-up actions with clients.
• Reconcile incoming payments with project invoices to ensure ledger precision.
• Execute state business registrations and maintain the company's compliance tracking system.
• Support DCAA compliance by monitoring allowable costs, participating in contract audits, and organizing documentation.
• Prepare files, reconciliations, and general ledger reports for year-end corporate financial audits.
• Adhere to organizational policies, internal procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Carry out other operational and administrative finance tasks as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, or bookkeeping is required.
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks Online or similar, is essential.
• Experience with Government Contracting ERP systems, such as Unanet or Deltek, is preferred.
• Proficient to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of Federal Contracting Accounting Standards and regulations, including CAS, FAR, and DCAA, is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing competing priorities.
