Principal Business Improvement Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance improvement initiatives and programs that align with Amey’s overall business strategy.

• Deliver training products focused on business improvement and transfer skills through various projects.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by engaging with business leaders and staff.

• Create, review, and analyze Amey's KPIs, contract and functional performance frameworks, and management data.

• Conduct diagnostic and benchmarking activities to aid in decision-making.

• Design, implement, and support strategic improvement projects, change programs, mobilization and integration efforts, and innovation.

• Develop and execute Amey's ameyINTEGRATES management system.

• Facilitate communities of practice to identify and disseminate improvement opportunities while supporting work acquisition.

• Challenge existing procedures and introduce methods that enhance process quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.

• Cultivate stakeholder relationships through consultation, advice, facilitation, and conflict resolution.

• Utilize process improvement tools and techniques to schedule, plan, track, and refine process performance.

• Clearly communicate complex information and client requirements both in writing and verbally.

• Influence and persuade stakeholders and customers regarding suggested approaches.

• Lead, manage, and inspire improvement and project teams.

• Strategically plan and manage resource allocation to achieve improvement goals.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Project Management qualification, preferably at the degree level or its equivalent.

• Demonstrated experience in infrastructure project management, ideally in the Highways, renewable energy, utilities, or transportation sectors.

• Exceptional stakeholder management experience.

• Proven ability to develop and execute multiple improvement projects with successful outcomes.

• Capacity to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

• Strong financial and commercial acumen.

• Understanding of the commercial implications of improvement projects and change initiatives.

• Willingness to travel across the UK.
