Principal Architect – Managed Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical mentorship and guidance to the Engineering team regarding modern platform integrations and automation practices.

• Discover opportunities to enhance the efficiency of Managed Services through automation initiatives.

• Create technical documentation and articles for knowledge sharing purposes.

• Collaborate with team members at Presidio to address and resolve production security challenges.

• Design and develop Presidio’s internal Managed Services platform along with its associated automation tools.

• Partner with the Product Owner and team members to tackle complex technical and business obstacles.

• Engage with technical stakeholders to gather and define requirements.

• Research and assess available technical solutions.

• Conduct testing and implement proofs of concept.

• Support initial pilot projects and help operationalize solutions.

• Document processes and solutions comprehensively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience and/or military service.

• A minimum of 6–9 years of extensive architectural and technical expertise.

• Proficient experience with network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and load balancers.

• Familiarity with security controls such as firewalls, NAC, IPS/IDS, endpoint security, content filtering, VPN, and SIEM systems.

• Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware and Hyper-V.

• Knowledge of cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS platforms including AWS and Azure.

• Strong scripting and programming skills in Python.

• Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, Ansible, Python, and APIs.

• In-depth knowledge of Linux system administration and troubleshooting techniques.

• Exceptional problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical abilities.

• Aptitude for making effective decisions regarding architecture and design implementations.

• Strong communication skills.

• Comprehensive industry knowledge and expertise in developing holistic solutions.

• Extensive documentation experience.

• Demonstrated initiative and goal-oriented approach to completing tasks.

• Previous experience collaborating closely with customers and IT personnel.

• Must be a US Citizen.
