Principal Architect, Managed Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical expertise in the design and development of Presidio’s internal Managed Services platform along with related automation processes.

• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and team members to devise solutions for intricate technical and business challenges.

• Engage with technical stakeholders to gather additional requirements.

• Conduct research and assess available technical options.

• Execute testing and implement proofs of concept.

• Support initial pilots and the operationalization of developed solutions.

• Document technical processes and solutions.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to the Engineering team.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance Managed Services efficiency through automation.

• Write technical articles for knowledge sharing.

• Work collaboratively with Presidio team members to address or improve production security concerns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and/or military background.

• At least 6–9 years of experience with comprehensive architectural and technical knowledge.

• Proficient in network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and load balancers.

• Familiar with security controls, including firewalls, NAC, IPS/IDS, endpoint security, content filtering, VPN, and SIEM.

• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.

• Knowledge of cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS platforms like AWS and Azure.

• Strong scripting/programming skills, particularly in Python.

• Experience with DevOps technologies, including Git, Docker, Ansible, Python, and APIs.

• In-depth understanding of Linux system administration and troubleshooting.

• Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical abilities.

• Proven decision-making skills related to architecture and design implementation.

• Strong communication skills.

• Extensive industry knowledge and expertise in creating comprehensive solutions.

• Solid experience in documentation.

• Initiative and capability to complete tasks diligently.

• Previous experience working closely with customers and collaborating with IT personnel.

• Must be a US Citizen.
