Principal Architect – Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Provide technical direction for various engineering teams, acting as the primary reference for software and platform architecture;

• Define the architectural strategy for products that aligns with the technology roadmap and business objectives;

• Establish architectural standards, principles, and best practices throughout the organization;

• Lead architecture evaluations, design assessments, and technical reviews for significant projects;

• Assist technical leads and engineers in navigating complex decision-making;

• Ensure that solutions fulfill requirements for scalability, availability, security, observability, and performance;

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Security, Data, and Infrastructure teams to enhance the technology platform;

• Promote the adoption of innovative technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns;

• Serve as the technical authority during critical incidents that involve architectural decisions;

• Advocate for ongoing architectural advancement, minimizing technical debt and enhancing technology maturity.

• Exceptional technical and executive communication abilities;

• Strategic perspective on enterprise architecture;

• Competence in making decisions that weigh technical and business trade-offs;

• Experience in conducting architecture reviews and making strategic choices;

• Knowledge of microservices architecture;

• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD);

• Understanding of Event-Driven Architecture;

• API First development approach;

• Proficiency in GraphQL and REST;

• Experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns;

• Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture frameworks (Kafka, RabbitMQ);

• Proficiency in Kubernetes;

• Expertise in Docker;

• Understanding of Service Mesh (Istio);

• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture;

• Proficiency in AWS services (EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB, S3);

• Experience with Terraform;

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices;

• Knowledge of observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana);

• Understanding of resilience patterns (circuit breaker, retry, bulkhead, timeout);

• Experience in performance engineering;

• Knowledge of application security practices;

• Familiarity with OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT;

• Understanding of Zero Trust architecture;

• Experience in platform engineering;

• Familiarity with FinOps;

• Knowledge of data architecture (where applicable).
