This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Oversee analytics engineering and the architecture of analytics-ready data for government clients across GXG.
• Spearhead the creation, implementation, and governance of analytics engineering standards and best practices, influencing enterprise delivery.
• Design and uphold reliable, standardized data models, transformation logic, and validation frameworks.
• Manage the analytics-engineering layer for advanced analytics platforms, converting product-delivered data into analytics-ready formats.
• Provide guidance on intricate customer data integrations and technical decision-making.
• Establish reusable integration patterns, templates, and documentation for scalable delivery.
• Define and refine processes for data quality, quality assurance, backfills, and release coordination.
• Monitor and address data quality and consistency issues that support dashboards, metrics, and client outcomes.
• Evaluate data issues and coordinate escalations to Product teams.
• Offer strategic insights on analytical methodologies, measurement frameworks, and best practices.
• Identify systemic data challenges and implement durable, scalable solutions.
• Present and relay insights to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead workstreams that engage directly with external clients supporting government customers.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or business intelligence.
• Proficient in advanced SQL and possess strong skills in analytics-ready data modeling.
• Expertise in defining and influencing organizational best practices as a subject-matter expert.
• Capability to define, communicate, and enforce analytics engineering methodologies at an enterprise level.
• Solid understanding of cloud data ecosystems and upstream data pipelines.
• Expertise in data validation, reconciliation, auditability, and data quality assurance.
• Systems-thinking mindset for navigating complex and ambiguous integration scenarios.
• Excellent technical communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Proven track record in developing dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Strong foundation in quantitative research and statistical analysis; qualitative research experience is advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of web analytics and behavioral data, including event-based and engagement datasets.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4), Adobe Analytics, Siteimprove, or similar analytics tools.
• Experience in integrating various customer feedback and engagement data sources, such as email marketing, social media, and surveys.
• Comfortable leading external client-facing workstreams.
• Ability to operate within the Central time zone.
• Must reside within the Continental US.
• Experience with government clients, public service, citizen engagement, and communication is preferred.
• Knowledge of Amazon QuickSight and Tableau is a plus.
