Analytics Engineer, BI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, enhance, and sustain dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI, Tableau, Databricks AI/BI, Looker, or other comparable BI tools.

• Convert business inquiries submitted via the ticketing system into precise and actionable data visualizations.

• Maintain consistency in definitions, metrics, and data logic throughout reports.

• Improve queries and dashboards for better performance and clarity.

• Document the logic and assumptions underpinning key metrics and dashboards.

• Create and manage database views, derived tables, and other analytical components.

• Execute data modeling and transformation tasks to ensure reliable downstream reporting.

• Address data discrepancies and verify data accuracy across different systems.

• Collaborate on enhancements to data structure and warehouse organization.

• Deliver precise, well-documented dashboards within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).

• Produce clean, reusable SQL objects catering to long-term reporting requirements.

• Enhance clarity and consistency in metric definitions to minimize back-and-forth on reporting requests.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams and provide support to less experienced team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in analytics/BI and data engineering.

• Proficient in SQL, with advanced skills in querying, joins, CTEs, aggregations, and window functions.

• Practical experience with cloud-based data warehouses.

• Experience in creating dashboards and reports with Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.

• Capability to interpret business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

• Strong focus on detail and practices for data validation.

• Ability to lead business interactions, define standards, document KPIs and reports, optimize large data models, and mentor junior team members.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field.

• Proficiency in English is required; the application form necessitates an English-level selection.
