Principal AI Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain AI-enhanced applications, automation solutions, integrations, and enterprise software.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders from Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, Sales, and IT to uncover opportunities and convert requirements into technical solutions.

• Oversee solution delivery through the phases of requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, governance, and support.

• Create and sustain applications, APIs, integrations, workflows, and data-centric solutions.

• Construct AI-enabled solutions utilizing enterprise AI platforms, large language models, and AI-supported development tools.

• Assess AI-generated code for quality assurance, security, and readiness for production.

• Diagnose application issues and enhance reliability, performance, and user experience.

• Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Data teams regarding enterprise standards, governance, compliance, and responsible AI practices.

• Create reusable development standards, templates, and best practices.

• Mentor citizen developers and business solution owners, aiding the transition of solutions into governed production environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, accompanied by 12 years of relevant experience; or 8 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years of experience; or equivalent practical experience.

• Practical experience in developing, deploying, and supporting production software applications and enterprise solutions.

• Proficient programming skills in Java, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, or similar contemporary development languages.

• Experience in building and utilizing APIs, integrations, and cloud services.

• Familiarity with source control, testing methodologies, code reviews, CI/CD, monitoring, and production support.

• Comprehension of secure application development, including authentication, authorization, data protection, and application security principles.

• Experience in evaluating and utilizing AI-assisted development tools and AI-generated outputs.

• Background in software engineering, application development, automation, AI enablement, analytics, digital transformation, or related technology fields.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication abilities.

• Preferred experience in supporting global organizations, manufacturing operations, or high-tech environments.

• Preferred technical expertise in Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot, Power Platform, AI agents, LLMs, prompt engineering, workflow automation, Java, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, REST APIs, microservices, Microsoft Azure, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Databricks, SQL Server, GitHub, Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, enterprise integrations, ERP platforms, workflow orchestration, business intelligence, data visualization, and process automation.
