This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Take the lead in creating K-6 mathematics textbook content that aligns with the Australian Curriculum (Version 9.0), guiding the process from initial planning to final completion.
• Manage content creation workflows and collaborate effectively with internal team members.
• Perform comprehensive reviews of all materials to ensure they meet the Australian Curriculum content descriptions, achievement standards, and mathematical proficiencies.
• Offer specific, actionable feedback to facilitate accurate content revisions and maintain world-class quality standards.
• Advocate for the use of AI tools throughout the content development process to enhance both productivity and quality.
• Strive for continuous improvement in team processes and workflows by pinpointing opportunities to incorporate new AI capabilities.
• Ensure a consistent pedagogical approach, mathematical rigor, and year-level progression across all educational materials.
• Significant experience teaching primary mathematics (K-6) in Australian educational institutions.
• In-depth knowledge of the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics (Version 9.0), including its content descriptions, achievement standards, and proficiency strands.
• Familiarity with the implementation of Version 9.0 curriculum changes.
• Strong understanding of current AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
• A genuine passion for leveraging AI tools to boost productivity.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Capacity to provide clear and specific feedback regarding content.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while meeting deadlines.
• A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
• Preferable: experience in project management, publishing, or educational content development.
• Preferable: familiarity with state-specific primary mathematics syllabi, including the NSW K-6 Syllabus and the Victorian Curriculum.
• Preferable: experience with digital learning platforms or educational technology environments.
• Preferable: experience with LaTeX or mathematical typesetting.
• Preferable: basic understanding of coding.
