This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Execute daily pricing operations and implement ABB-EL pricing strategies.
• Engage in strategic price negotiations alongside product management and the commercial sales team for both Smart Building and Smart Power product lines.
• Assess pricing requests across various market segments, including commercial, industrial, and residential.
• Create financial models to analyze pricing scenarios, enhancing volume, product mix, margin, and pricing results.
• Review and authorize standard and special pricing agreements at the regional level.
• Analyze trade area data, market and channel impacts, product line strategies, price performance, and profitability metrics.
• Collaborate with commercial sales, business development, and product marketing leaders to evaluate agreement effectiveness and devise strategies to seize business opportunities and boost market share.
• Track performance metrics for channels and end-customers, including volume forecasts, say-do analysis, product mix commitments, and profitability associated with pricing agreements.
• Utilize business analytics tools to pinpoint and implement opportunities for pricing performance optimization and special projects related to cleanup and price optimization.
• Report directly to the Sales Support Manager.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Electrical Industry with a foundational understanding of basic electrical products.
• At least 2 years of experience in roles related to commercial, analytics, accounting, or finance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to dissect complex business challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities, adhere to strict deadlines, and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Candidates must already have authorization to work for ABB in the US.
• Comprehensive knowledge of residential electrical products and applications is preferred.
• Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, Vistaar, or Vistex is a plus.
• Proven skills in relationship-building, facilitation, and influencing are preferred.
• Strong understanding of cost structures, profit margins, financial analysis, sales practices, sales enablement, channel management, and contract and risk management is preferred.
• Choice between two medical plan options: a PPO plan known as the Copay Plan OR a High Deductible Health Plan (with a Health Savings Account) referred to as the High Deductible Plan.
