This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guatemala.
β’ Take charge of the effectiveness of all pricing strategies across all merchandise categories, measuring against sales, pricing, and field-satisfaction KPIs.
β’ Direct the approach to pricing: determine which categories require direct input pricing (DIP prices) linked to retail prices, identify the parameters that influence the Historic Pricing method, establish which manufacturers and models are included in the product master data (MDM), and ascertain which categories need price buffers.
β’ Initiate the optimization of pricing methods based on performance signals and early-warning indicators.
β’ Articulate the vision, roadmap, and requirements for AI-driven pricing products, converting model performance into business outcomes and promoting AI integration across the pricing function.
β’ Collaborate with Data Science to develop and implement pricing experimentation infrastructure β including pilots, A/B tests, trigger logic, and monitoring β featuring the introduction of a partner-developed AI pricing model (Scoop).
β’ Enhance automation and data integrity throughout the pricing pipeline with Data Science and Data Engineering, transitioning from manual processes to scalable, AI-supported systems and utilizing Gen AI/LLM product matching to refine product master data (MDM), aliases, and pricing parameters.
β’ Establish the analytical methodology, trigger logic, and response playbook with the Pricing Analysts β who are responsible for pricing diagnostics and root-cause analysis β before managing the trigger-to-action workflow: categorize pricing issues (data anomaly, aliasing, MDM, or methodology), propose a solution, estimate the impact, and relay it to business stakeholders (Earning Assets).
β’ Oversee the incorporation of external and competitive prices into pricing methods to ensure alignment with market standards.
β’ Maintain stable pricing during transitions and mitigate the risk associated with pricing releases through thorough pre- and post-release analysis.
β’ Manage the pricing backlog, balancing immediate improvements with long-term strategic developments.
β’ Convey pricing performance, upcoming changes, and anticipated business impact to business and executive stakeholders, steering data-driven pricing strategies and AI integration.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
β’ Over 7 years of product management experience, specifically in the oversight of data-driven or AI-powered products.
β’ Proven track record of collaboration with data science teams to develop and deploy ML, AI, or Gen AI products from start to finish.
β’ Technical proficiency: experienced in SQL and Python β capable of conducting self-service analysis, directly querying data, and validating model outputs.
β’ Practical experience utilizing AI tools (Claude Code, Claude, or similar LLM tools) in daily operations β fluency in AI is essential for this team's functionality.
β’ Strong preference for experience in pricing, revenue management, or merchandising analytics.
β’ Background in designing and executing experiments (A/B tests, pilots, monitoring) to validate product modifications.
β’ Additional experience in retail, resale, e-commerce, or the pawn industry is advantageous.
