Pricing Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.

📋 Description

• Evaluate drawings and CAD models in English.

• Estimate manufacturing costs for materials, machining hours, and post-processing.

• Suggest suitable manufacturing processes.

• Document and convey calculations to the Sales/Commercial team.

• Assess 3D models and 2D drawings for quoting and manufacturability insights.

• Coordinate RFQs and clarify specifics with Sales and Engineering teams.

• Manage quote databases and ensure prompt updates.

• Provide precise quotes ideally within 1–2 working hours.

• Assist in process automation initiatives and enhance workflow efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced technical education (Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, or similar).

• Over 6 years of experience in metalworking or mechanical engineering.

• In-depth knowledge of machining and fabrication processes, such as turning, milling, CNC machining, EDM, laser/waterjet/plasma cutting, sheet metal processing, and welding.

• Familiarity with post-processing techniques, including polishing, hardening, heat treatment, anodizing, sand/shot blasting, coatings, and painting.

• Understanding of metals, plastics, composites, and their processing characteristics.

• Proficient in English at a B2+ level.

• Customer-focused attitude with the ability to clearly communicate technical information.

• Strong attention to detail and capability to perform under time constraints.

• Willingness to adopt CAD/CAM, CRM, and cloud technologies.

• Proficiency in technical drawing interpretation rated 5/5.

• Tooling and fixture design for machining, assembly, and welding rated 3/5.

• Expertise in manufacturing processes rated 5/5.

• Proficiency in coatings and heat treatment rated 3/5.

• Ability to assess labor intensity and manufacturability rated 5/5.

• CAM programming for CNC with SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and CypCut rated 3/5, with a willingness to pursue further training.

• Reliable high-speed internet and a comfortable workspace are required.
