This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +1 more country.
• Monitor load boards and bid portals in real-time for an assigned customer portfolio.
• Identify spot freight opportunities, prioritizing them based on margin potential, service risk, and customer significance.
• Submit competitive and timely bids and rate confirmations within your pricing authority.
• Track win/loss results and their reasons to inform the pricing strategy.
• Price exception freight that involves non-standard lanes, equipment, service requirements, or market volatility.
• Utilize market knowledge, historical rate data, and carrier capacity insights to price exception loads.
• Escalate high-risk or high-value exceptions when limits of pricing authority are reached.
• Document the rationale behind pricing for exception freight.
• Evaluate the performance of automated bidding bots, including win rate, coverage, and margin.
• Recommend and assist in implementing changes to bot rules, rates, and parameters.
• Maintain documentation of changes to bot logic and the measured impact.
• Analyze trends in the spot market, lane-level rate movements, and competitive pricing.
• Keep accurate records of bids, wins, losses, and exception pricing in CRM/pricing systems.
• Provide reports on win rate, coverage, and margin performance by customer, lane, and channel.
• Assist in forecasting spot volume and pricing performance for leadership review.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in freight brokerage pricing, carrier sales, or transportation analytics.
• Familiarity with load boards (such as DAT, Truckstop, or similar) and the dynamics of spot market bidding.
• Ability to make quick, high-volume pricing decisions under pressure.
• An analytical mindset capable of transforming performance data into specific and actionable rule or rate adjustments.
• Understanding of automated pricing/bidding tools, or a strong aptitude for learning rule-based systems.
• Proficient in CRM platforms (like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
