Pricing Actuarial Analyst Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Perform evaluations of rates for designated states and product lines, assessing profit and loss outcomes, historical and current trends, forecasting underwriting losses, and analyzing rate competitiveness.

• Conduct thorough analyses, provide recommendations, and assemble rate package proposals for primary business partners.

• Draft internal and external communications, including engagements with regulatory bodies and management, to explain and justify rules and rate modifications.

• Acquire a fundamental understanding of Allstate’s property and casualty business segments.

• Undertake tasks related to auto, homeowners, specialty lines, or business insurance.

• Play a role in achieving the overall growth and profitability objectives of significant initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• Maintain a strong academic record with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

• Must be a full-time student.

• Anticipated graduation date must fall between February 19th, 2027, and August 20th, 2029.

• Actively pursuing an actuarial designation.

• Proficient in analyzing data and evaluating analyses while showcasing strong decision-making abilities.

• Competence in Microsoft Office: Intermediate Excel, Intermediate Word, Beginner Outlook, Basic PowerPoint.

• Basic understanding of data sources.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to manage multiple concurrent tasks efficiently.

• Access to reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
