Presales Storage Architect – Unstructured Data, Hybrid Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients to design and create scalable file and object storage solutions.

• Facilitate solution workshops, assessments, and proofs of concept to validate technical suitability and performance.

• Offer expert knowledge on NFS, SMB, and object storage.

• Assist customers in validating storage architectures for AI inferencing, RAG, and extensive unstructured data pipelines.

• Design and document enterprise-grade file and object storage solutions customized to clients' requirements.

• Lead and conduct POCs to assess performance, scalability, and platform integration.

• Create storage architectures for AI and data-processing tasks, emphasizing throughput, metadata performance, latency optimization, and platform efficiency.

• Work in tandem with product management to gather customer feedback, convert requirements into product improvements, and shape the roadmap.

• Provide thought leadership, conduct competitive analyses, and develop positioning strategies.

• Present technical solutions to both executive and technical audiences.

• Stay updated on trends in unstructured storage, cloud storage integration, and emerging technologies.

• Assist in pre-sales activities, RFIs/RFPs, and solution justification.

• Travel frequently to engage with customers, partners, and internal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing unstructured storage solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Strong experience interfacing with customers on technical solution design and delivery.

• Proven expertise in file protocols such as NFS, SMB, and S3.

• Solid understanding of object storage technologies and APIs.

• Demonstrated ability in planning and executing POCs.

• Hands-on experience with AI data pipelines, including inferencing and RAG.

• Familiarity with storage optimization for large, performance-sensitive unstructured workloads.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Willingness and capability to travel for customer engagements.

• Proven experience selling enterprise storage solutions across one or more industry sectors.

• Ability to comprehend vertical-specific business challenges, compliance needs, and data workloads.

• Experience with at least one enterprise file/object storage platform, such as Dell EMC PowerScale (Isilon), ObjectScale, Pure Storage FlashBlade, NetApp ONTAP (File), NetApp Object Grid, or other enterprise file/object storage platforms.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP storage offerings and integration patterns is highly desirable.

• Understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud storage architectures is a significant advantage.

• Awareness of the competitive landscape is a strong plus.

• Experience in customer success, consulting, or solution advisory roles is an added advantage.
