This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Investigate, assess, and resolve liability claims from initiation to conclusion.
• Manage claims related to premises liability, bodily injury, and property damage.
• Conduct liability investigations and evaluate coverage, damages, and exposure.
• Set and uphold appropriate reserves based on the evolution of claims.
• Review medical records, invoices, legal documents, repair estimates, and relevant claim materials.
• Authorize and process claim payments within designated authority limits.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and authorized representatives.
• Oversee litigated files and collaborate with defense counsel as necessary.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for subrogation.
• Prepare reports on claims, reserve recommendations, excess notifications, and file summaries.
• Coordinate communication with clients, claimants, vendors, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain timely diary management and ensure accurate claim documentation.
• Participate in claim reviews, training sessions, mediations, hearings, and settlement conferences as required.
• Ensure adherence to Corporate Claim Standards and specific client handling requirements.
• Over 5 years of experience in handling liability claims.
• An active Adjuster License or Designated Home State (DHS) License is required.
• Proven experience in managing claims from investigation to resolution.
• Experience in handling premises liability claims.
• Experience in dealing with bodily injury claims.
• Experience with property damage claims.
• Strong skills in liability investigation and claim assessment.
• Experience in establishing reserves and negotiating settlements.
• Ability to independently manage a claim inventory of around 130 files.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong skills in diary management, organization, and time management.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Consistent attendance during established business hours.
• Preferred experience in hospitality claims.
• Expertise in premises liability within hotels, resorts, restaurants, entertainment venues, or guest-facing operations is preferred.
• Preferred experience in litigation management.
• Experience working directly with defense counsel is preferred.
• Preferred experience with multi-jurisdiction claims.
• Preferred experience handling claims in Louisiana, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, Mississippi, or Ohio.
• Prior TPA experience is preferred.
• Additional active adjuster licenses are preferred.
